In today's entry I wanted to talk about my favorite basketball photo of all-time. This photo of David Robinson was taken right after the San Antonio Spurs won their second NBA title in 2003.
What makes this photo so great to me, as a fan of David Robinson, is what it represented. David had made it clear that he would be retiring from the NBA at the end of the 2003 season. What a great way to bow out of the NBA after a hall-of-fame career, winning an NBA championship.
David Robinson was my favorite NBA player for many reasons. Not only was David one of the greatest centers in NBA history, but he was a winner on the court and off the court. He served our country in the Navy, always gave back to his community and always acted in a way that made him a great role model.
This year will mark David's induction into the Hall of Fame, and this photo will always hold a special place in my heart as a symbol of the way to go out.......on top.

Jordan should have done the same thing. It looked like he would... then he got all Wizard-y.
