I thought I would continue the NBA French Fry subject from yesterday with another set of McDonald's fry boxes featuring NBA players. These french fry boxes were created in 1995, following the set I profiled yesterday. These boxes featured the characters from the Looney Tunes cartoons paired with an NBA player. These boxes came from the era of Space Jam and the famous Michael Jordan/Larry Bird HORSE commercials. In these examples, you see Michael Jordan paired up with Bugs Bunny and Larry Bird paired up with Sylvester the cat, who has spent his entire life chasing birds.
The backs of these fry boxes contain a side-by-side comparison of the best moves and career highlights of the NBA player and of the Looney Tunes character. These are done in the form of a scouting report provided by Tweety Bird comparing the player and the character. Tweety quotes Michael Jordan's famous "through the window, over the rafters, off the scoreboard, nothing but net" comment from the famous commercials. (click on the image for a larger view)
A few more players who were in this series included Reggie Miller, Larry Johnson, Charles Barkley and Shawn Kemp.

Can't wait to see the Shawn Kemp version... did they have different versions featuring his kids and their assorted baby-mamas? I wonder if Shawn got free french fry samples... it sure seemed like he had by the time he got to Cleveland.
