Sunday's NFL game schedule was light on throwback designs. There were no major AFL games but there was one game that presented a great look back at a classic uniform set from the past. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers brought back the original orange uniforms that the team wore at its founding and throughout its early history.
The game against the Packers created a look that could have easily been like watching a game several decades ago. The classic Buccaneers look along with the timeless look of the Packers created a beautiful game to watch. The classic Buccaneers colors brought back some great memories, though the Bucs had some really awful years while wearing these colors. Time has lessened the blow of those colors being associated with some really bad teams. Now those colors just look great making a rare appearance on the field and bring back images of great Bucs players from the past.
Great looking game, classic cool old school uniforms.

Jim,
I loved those original Buccaneers uniforms and couldn't believe my eyes yesterday when I saw them in the highlights.
No one ever had that color combination, which is why I thought they were so cool when they entered the NFL along with Seattle.
I remember being so disappointed when LeRoy Selmon and Doug Williams couldn't get past the Los Angeles Rams to play my Steelers in Super Bowl XIV.
Nice that the Bucs continued the exposure of Green Bay as pretenders this season.

Also loved the diamond pattern in the end zones of the MNF game. Good stuff that.
