As Larry Bird said in a recent interview on the Dan Patrick Show when Dan jabbed him about Jordan scoring 60 on them in the playoffs, "We swept Chicago in that series, Dan".

Len Bias was going to help Boston remain one of the NBA's elite teams.
As Bird and Magic were ending their great runs which had energized fans and appreciation for team play was at it's zenith, along came Detroit's Bad Boys which brought the game down by just hacking good teams and players into submission.
Eventually, Jordan's Bulls were able to overcome those Pistons but the game had sadly deteriorated.
This is how Len Bias tragic death really affected our NBA.
